The Right Won, and Here’s Why

Friends, no need to lick our wounds.
The right won, by right I mean a double entendre: right-leaning, conservative patriots as well as right vs. wrong.
Here’s why the right won:

• Because the media lost; their bias has been unquestionably exposed.
• Because pollsters lost; even Dems are shaking their heads in wonder as to what happened.
• Because Trump got 72 million votes; that’s unheard of for a (presumably) defeated candidate.
• Because Trump did not get blown out (despite predictions).
• Because we likely retained the Senate (despite predictions).
• Because we made gains in the House (despite predictions).
• Because not a single Republican incumbent in the House lost, while several Democrat incumbents were bounced.
• Because Senators Ernst, Collins and Tillis all won (despite predictions).
• Because we’re winning with women, sending 27 female Reps to the House.
• Because we made gains with minorities, achieving the highest levels of minority votes since Eisenhower.
• Because we did all this IN SPITE of 24 hr., non-stop anti-Republican hatred on mainstream and social media for four straight years.

Finally, we won because…. brace yourselves friends… we have unloaded the albatross known as Trump. (Did he really say that???) Yes, this is a win. I was late to the Trump bandwagon in 2016, and while I loved the “drain the swamp” approach, there were times when I just got sick of all the tweets. The right was saddled with Trump’s baggage because of his brutish, hot-tempered, arrogant manners. I believe Trump will leave a great legacy in having placed 3 justices on SCOTUS, de-regulation efforts, peace in the Middle East, standing up to China, etc. I appreciate what he has done, and hope the populist/nationalist agenda can be carried on. He was the perfect fit for a revolutionary leading a charge, but a tad “hot” for the long term. Without Trump in the spotlight, the media will be forced to focus on Biden/Harris. Instead of “Orange Man Bad!!!” What will CNN have to lead with? This will play out well for us long term (see 2022 and 2024 elections).
